Atlast villain is forgiven and he realizes his mistake and starts to apologize to the people of the village but everyone disrespects and ignore him and put an end to the injustice.

Produced by Venu Ravichandran under Oscar Films, the film has a score and soundtrack composed by S. A. Rajkumar and cinematography handled by Arthur A. Wilson. The film tells the story of a caring brother who makes sacrifices to ensure his three younger brothers succeed in life.
The film opened to positive reviews and box office success in January 2000, and went on to win the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment the following year. Furthermore the success of the film led to two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, as well as several remakes in other Indian regional languages.
One expects fireworks when she enters the rustic home of Muthu. But she happily blends into the sugary ambience. Her father, the business tycoon, does make some unpleasant noise in the background, but gives up soon enough. Shanmugam(Livingston), the second, is training to be an inspector, gets him married to his friend's daughter (Anju Aravind). Initially she too is rude and insulting to Vellachamy but due to her astrological reasons made her to speak like that, she too turns out to be a good lady.

The latter does make some unpleasant noise. But apart from taking a promise from Vellachamy that he would leave the village once the marriage was over, gives his consent. Devan's friend kidnaps Kausalya but Muthu saves her. Vellachamy returns and unites with his family.

15 Thasildars are found missing and then the police find that 14 of them have been released after 3 days but one of them is killed. They find some files and a tape along with the body of the dead thasildar. These files carry details of why the kidnap of the 15 thasildars had been done and the reason for the murder of one of them and have the words ACF written on it. It is understood by the police that these men where the thasildars who had indulged themselves in bribery and that they were the top 15 of the list of the corrupt thasildars. ACF sends the tape, with the message that they shall continue the kidnap of the corrupt officers in all the departments and that the No.1 corrupt shall be sentenced to death according to the law of the Anti Corruption Force.
There is fear among the corrupt officials. They come forward to file their returns. For a while there are no illegal transactions done, but the corruption soon continues in the society due to the threatening of the local mob to sign illegal documents and accept bribes. Meanwhile, the ACF finds that it is Vijayan who is the real reason behind this corruption scenario. Then the kidnapping continues. Finally with the help of a police constable played by Yugi Sethu, who takes up this case, they find the students working for the ACF and they are put to torture in the cell to reveal the name of their leader. Ramana on seeing his students suffer, surrenders to the police and requests police to release his students. However in the climax Ramana kills Vijayan and the very next day Ramana gets hanged by the police on the charges of several murders done by Ramana and his students.
Ramana soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja and is the only
collaboration of Murugadoss with Ilaiyaraaja. The soundtrack has 8
songs.

Production and after release
Vijayakanth agreed to play a "soft role" at a time when he starred in many action films and was branded an action hero. Director Sundarrajan stated that the actual producers were against Vijayakanth playing the lead role in the film but that he insisted on him and made the film with another producer. He also said that this film gave Vijayakanth a big break. Plot
Captain Prabhakaran (Vijaykanth) is an IFS officer sent to Sathyamangalam to nab terrorist Veerabhadran (Mansoor Ali Khan (actor)) who tortures the people of that place. Prabhakaran not only going to nab Veerabhadran but also to avenge the death of his friend Rajaraman IFS (Sarathkumar) who was a forest officer killed by Veerabhadran. Police commissioner, collector are corrupt and supporters of Veerabhadran. In the climax, Veerabhadran kidnaps Prabhakaran's wife and son. Prabhakaran comes in correct time saves his wife, son and nabs Veerabhadran. Ramya krishnan loved Sarathkumar and she dies by giving birth to a child. Veerabhadran is shot dead by corrupt inspector and collector. Prabhakaran kills both of them and he is dragged to court for killing police inspector and collector. Prabhakaran tells the truth that they were corrupt and the film ends with Prabhakaran being released from the court. This film was dubbed in Telugu as Captain Prabakar with packed houses.Production

Plot
Three death row prisoners escape from the jail and hijack a plane where Abdul Salim (Laxmi Rattan), a scientist, owns a miracle drug. Plot
Vellaichaamy (Vijayakanth) thinks the world of his three brothers, even giving up marriage when he learns that the woman he loves plans to send them to a hostel after the wedding. The brothers live with their grandmother (S. N. Lakshmi). He works hard to raise them and they too reciprocate his love and affection. The eldest of the three, Muthu (Vijayakanth again), is a cook in a small hotel, When Vellachamy learns that Muthu is in love with his childhood playmate (Meena) he goes to the city to his friend (Rajiv) with the marriage proposal. Only to be insulted! Circumstances bring Muthu to the city, to the girl's palatial bungalow where he works as a cook. The girl is arrogant and rude till she realises that Muthu is her childhood pal. Plot
The film is about Ramana (Vijayakanth) who decides to abolish corruption altogether with the help of his students who are now working in various government offices. The reason behind this powerful decision is told in the flashback. Ramana is a happy professor with his wife (played by Simran) and daughter. And one day when Ramana is out to make some purchases, the entire neighbourhood collapses due to some fault in the construction and many of the residents including Simran and her daughter lose their lives. Ramana rushes to the Government Officials when he comes to know that all this was due to one person namely Vijayan, an industrialist with the necessary proof. But the incidents that he faces at the office, and on finding that these officials who are now corrupt to the core are mere puppets in the hands of Vijayan he gets frustrated on the situation and this makes him to form the ACF (Anti Corruption Force).15 Thasildars are found missing and then the police find that 14 of them have been released after 3 days but one of them is killed. They find some files and a tape along with the body of the dead thasildar. These files carry details of why the kidnap of the 15 thasildars had been done and the reason for the murder of one of them and have the words ACF written on it. It is understood by the police that these men where the thasildars who had indulged themselves in bribery and that they were the top 15 of the list of the corrupt thasildars. ACF sends the tape, with the message that they shall continue the kidnap of the corrupt officers in all the departments and that the No.1 corrupt shall be sentenced to death according to the law of the Anti Corruption Force.
There is fear among the corrupt officials. They come forward to file their returns. For a while there are no illegal transactions done, but the corruption soon continues in the society due to the threatening of the local mob to sign illegal documents and accept bribes. Meanwhile, the ACF finds that it is Vijayan who is the real reason behind this corruption scenario. Then the kidnapping continues. Finally with the help of a police constable played by Yugi Sethu, who takes up this case, they find the students working for the ACF and they are put to torture in the cell to reveal the name of their leader. Ramana on seeing his students suffer, surrenders to the police and requests police to release his students. However in the climax Ramana kills Vijayan and the very next day Ramana gets hanged by the police on the charges of several murders done by Ramana and his students.
